This sale is for the hard drive PCB (printed circuit board / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery operations. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot transfer the ROM yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
