This sale includes the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
