This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. To determine whether replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide. Confirm compatibility by checking the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique calibration/configuration data stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
