This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: PCB is sold for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Important: most drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function properly and must be transferred or replicated on the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
