This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Purpose: Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important technical note: Many hard drive PCBs contain critical, unique information stored in a ROM memory chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. Services: For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
