This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended用途: replacement for hard drive repair and data recovery. Many drive PCBs store essential drive-specific data in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
