This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to large stock levels, the actual PCB sent may vary slightly from the picture. The board is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. To confirm a replacement PCB will fix your unit, use our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique drive data in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper operation and must be moved to or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
