This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs include a unique ROM 'memory' chip containing essential data required for the drive to operate. That ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
