This sale is for the hard drive PCB (printed circuit board / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Before ordering, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that replacing the PCB will address your issue, and consult the Donor Matching Guide to verify compatibility. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation; that chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically move the chip. For customers who purchase $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
