This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD included. We keep a large inventory of replacement PCBs, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery, this board can be used as a replacement provided it is compatible with your drive. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and verify that a PCB swap is appropriate using the hard drive diagnostics guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip holding essential drive-specific data; that ROM or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
