This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is provided. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, verify compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow the steps in our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most hard drive PCBs contain a ROM "memory" chip that holds unique information required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if physical chip relocation is possible, a local computer professional can usually perform the procedure. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
