This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive or other components are included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most WD PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its saved data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be moved physically, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
