This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique information in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you are able to move the ROM chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant; for DIYers, refer to our PCB Replacement Guide. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
