Product is the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for use in HDD repair or data recovery operations. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store essential configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; this ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform this transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip for you. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
