This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important technical note: most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform that transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
