This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) only — no hard drive is included. We hold a large inventory of boards, so the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair or data-recovery use. Before ordering, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM 'memory' chip that is required for correct operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can perform the transplant; otherwise the ROM data needs to be reprogrammed onto the new PCB. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
