Listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement board is intended for use in HDD repair and data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Western Digital PCBs store unique information in the ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement circuit board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
