This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD included. Due to large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain unique ROM data required for proper drive operation; the ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM information. If the ROM chip can be desoldered and transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform this task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
