This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included! Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the specific board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The circuit board is intended for data recovery and hard drive repair work. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred onto the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer professional can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
