This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM information is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement PCB — when possible a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new board or reprograms the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
