This listing includes the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. We have a large inventory, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Prior to purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM or its data must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board for the drive to work properly. If you cannot move the chip yourself, a local computer professional can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
