Item is the hard drive printed circuit board / logic board only. NO hard drive is included. Because we keep a large stock of PCBs, the actual board shipped may look slightly different from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs contain unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
