This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — NO hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery, this replacement board can be used when repairing compatible WD drives. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs contain a unique ROM (memory) chip that stores drive-specific data required for correct operation; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with a purchase of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
