This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery and HDD repair, this replacement PCB is suitable when a circuit board swap is indicated. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB swap will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in the ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transplanted, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
