This sale is for the hard drive PCB (printed circuit board / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large stock, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper HDD operation. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If physical transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the work. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
