This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. We maintain a large inventory, so the actual PCB shipped may vary slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip for you. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either soldering the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
