This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery, this replacement board can be used when attempting to restore drive functionality. Before buying, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs contain unique information in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the new PCB with the correct ROM data.
