This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to transplant it. We offer a complimentary adaptation service (moving the ROM chip or reprogramming the new PCB with the correct ROM data) for purchases of $60 or more.
