This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Due to a large inventory, the specific PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery use. Note: most drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically relocated, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
