This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks, this PCB is suitable when a board replacement is required. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
