This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible Western Digital 3.5" SATA drives. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please use our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. When possible, the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB; a local computer technician can usually perform this transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
