This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards store unique data in the ROM ("memory") chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
