This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — NO hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip whose contents are required for normal drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
