Listing is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large stock, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery applications. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs contain unique firmware stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If it is possible to移 the ROM chip to the new PCB, a local computer technician can typically perform that task. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
