This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the actual hard drive is not included. We maintain a large inventory, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most HDD circuit boards store unique ROM "memory" data that is required for correct drive operation; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to or programmed onto the replacement board. To confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue, please follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide complimentary adaptation service which includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
