This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Due to high inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. These boards are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. To determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform that transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
