Listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included! Due to large stock levels, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before ordering, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap will address your issue, and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot move the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
