This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: repair or data recovery for compatible WD drives. Before buying, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most WD circuit boards contain unique ROM memory with drive-specific data that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
