This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. To verify a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM 'memory' chip that is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
