This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most HDD PCBs contain drive-specific information stored in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If transferring the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
