This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, please run our hard drive diagnostics and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain a ROM "memory" chip that holds unique drive-specific data required for proper operation; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct data. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
