This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, verify that replacing the PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most drive PCBs store unique information on a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If physical transfer is possible, a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
