This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only. NO hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow the hard drive diagnostics guide to verify a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most HDD circuit boards store critical configuration in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself—or its data—must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
