This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to large PCB quantity available, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the picture. The PCB is intended for data recovery and hard drive repair purposes. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored on the ROM 'memory' chip; that ROM information is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred or replicated on the replacement board. If possible, a local computer professional can move the ROM chip to the new PCB; alternatively, the ROM data can be reprogrammed onto the replacement. For clients with purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
