This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the specific PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery, this board should be used only after confirming it will resolve your issue. Please consult our hard drive diagnostics guide before ordering and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of the hard drive circuit boards contain unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
