Item: hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive or enclosure included. Due to large stock, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs include a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores essential drive-specific parameters. That ROM data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
