Listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data-recovery use; because we keep a large quantity of boards in stock, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement board will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique, essential information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data must be transferred or restored to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If possible, the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB — a local computer technician can usually perform that transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new board or reprograms the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
