This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
