This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive circuit boards store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
