This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is not included. The actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo due to our large on-hand inventory. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer professional can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
